Sounds like Trump right!.  Actually this statement is from the early part of the 20th century the U.S. eugenics movement.  The wonderful USA dark and evil past which is not taught or talked about.  American eugenics which Hitler embraced, copied and implemented as the final solution being directly responsible for the death of millions.  Wonderful America being indirectly responsible for those deaths in so many ways.  Eugenics becoming so influential that American politicians reduced immigration by 95% to keep out "undesirables" during this period actively preventing those fleeing the Nazis in Europe from leaving and subsequently relegating them to the death chambers.  Wonderful America DON'T "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore."  The US refusing to bomb the gas chambers but accidentally dropping a few bombs on the death camp.

America for Americans preserve the "Nordic race" one congressman saying on the House floor, "the home of a great people: English-speaking—a white race with great ideals, the Christian religion, one race, one country, one destiny." which sounds so much like the philosophy of the present day Trumpians.  Eugenics implemented by America passing laws to sterilize "undesirables" and continuing the practice well into the 1970's.

Ken Cuccinelli, Trump's head of Citizenship and Immigration Services, tweaked the passage: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free" adding the words "who can stand on their own two feet and who will not become a public charge."
